This superhet receiver is designed to perform Emission Testing to IEEE 299/368/469, CISPR 12/14, SAE J1113/J1338. MIL-STD.461/462.DEF-STD 59-41(Parts 3/2), plus other commercial, government and military applications in the range 16Hz-50kHz. The receiver has a built-in microprocessor, which interfaces to the front panel controls and the IEEE-488 bus. Control is either manually through the front panel or through Item 124 the laptop computer with pre-loaded software. The receiver uses an LED display to show frequency to an accuracy of +/- 0.1% or 5Hz whichever is greater and an amplitude accuracy of +/-2dB including 110dB of internally stepped attenuation. The input BNC terminal has a switched earth to minimize ground loop error and permit balanced or floating i/p measurements to be made. The receiver has 4 selectable i/p impedances (50; 600; 10K and 100Kohm) an IF frequency of 100kHz. A tracking oscillator o/p. There are 8 selectable IF bandwidths available from 10Hz; 40Hz; 100Hz; 250Hz; 500Hz 1kHz; 2.5kHz and 5kHz (6dB) plus an ‘open window’ from 16Hz---50kHz shaped only with input filters (Highpass-200Hz; 1kHz; 6kHz) and (Lowpass 16kHz; 50kHz).
