The instrument is designed according to the Swedish specification MPR/TCO92 Bands 1 and 2 (National Council for Metrology and Testing). This regulation covers testing methods for VDU terminals. The EMM-4 is designed to disturb the “E” Field in such a manner as to emulate the presence of an adult human frame. The applications here are very wide considering human environments, e.g. in the office, near power lines, in factories or anywhere when human exposure dosage is in the order of hours rather than minutes. The measured value is shown as the rms value on a LCD display with an analogue output for recording variations.
