The head shown in this picture is item 181 which is the RV1001-4 sensor head with a 3 way range switch of 100v/m, 1000v/m and 10,000v/m with a frequency range of 20HZ to 200kHz. This device sees use where personnel are operating in the vicinity of overhead power lines or other sources of extremely high field strengths.
For laboratory uses the TE-307 can either be read from the meter or there is a F/O output enabling a repeater unit to emulate the analogue meter seen here to a distance of 6 metres. The repeater unit (item 180A) is mains driven.
