When the TE-307 sits in a high field or when the human frame could interfere with the field, a fibre optic connection can be made between the TE-307 and the TE-308. The TE-308 has the same analogue meter and mimics the reading fed through the fibre optic. The TE-308 repeater has to be mains driven and comes with 7 metres of F/O cable. There is also a BNC output connector on the front panel providing a zero to 1v DC signal corresponding to the linear meter scale.
