The 93686-3 is specifically designed for High Power Pulse current measurement. The probe secondary o/p terminals are resistively loaded internally to flatten the transfer Zt curve as much as possible. The peak pulse current handling capability extends from .01 to 100 amperes. Typically oscilloscopes with a 50 ohm i/p load are used to view the current waveform. Because of the limited power handling of the RF secondary circuit of the probe, the max pulse duty cycle at 100A peak is 0.0002. THis improves to .001 as current falls to 40A and is 0.02 at 10A. Ensure conductor to be measured sits firmly in centre of aperture. On NO account should the probe be used to inject signals as damage will ensue.
