This clamp was designed to induce both inductive & capacititive coupling on IT or Telecoms lines and was developed by the Swiss PTT. Up to 100 Watts can be applied from 0.15MHz to 230MHz, beyond that freq the power must be reduced to 50W but with specific duration times in minutes (See handbook). The End User must be aware of possible damage to EUTs when using this clamp and therefore some foreknowledge on the immunity subject is essential. Included within the case shown above are the 50/150Ω load blocks which stand firmly on the groundplane (item 814) at the correct height for connection. A long and short cal lead along with a 50 Ω load.
