This loop antenna is used to obtain magnetic field measurements from 20Hz-50kHz. It has a balanced Faraday shield that reduces its response to electric fields to a minimum thus enabling only the magnetic component of a composite field to be measured. The loop should be connected into 50ohm measuring instruments such as the EMC-11/R&S-ESS/ESIB 7 Series interference receivers (Items 104/121/119). The loop is not for transmitting. This item can be either mounted on a tripod (Section 800) via a threaded hole in the base plate (1/4UNC) or used as a bench-top accessory.
