EMCO model 6509 is a 12 inch diameter band-switched matching passive loop antenna used for transmitting and operates in the frequency range of 1kHz to 30MHz. Although just a single wired loop it is fed from a tapped transformer providing the optimum power matching to a 50Ω power signal source. It can be used with item 305 or item 308 to form the Shielding Effectiveness Test Set. It can be used also as a receive antenna for general emission work and a factor curve is included as shown. This antenna comes in a customised transportation case. The loop is not screened against “E” field. Note: Do not switch ranges whilst RF power is being applied.
