The EM-6917B Biconilog Antenna combines the standard log periodic and biconical elements to produce the customary hybrid operating from 30MHz-3GHz for “E” field measurement and the transmission of fields within EN61000-4-3 spectrum at 1kW. It appeared about the same time as item 336 form Schaffner. Although not calibrated below 30MHz it will nevertheless perform down to 26MHz satisfying the requirement on some of the older immunity specs. It is linearly polarized permitting independent assessment of both H & V parameters in measurement. The model hired under item 337 is actually the 6917B-2 version which has collapsible cone elements covering the 26MHz-200MHz portion of the spectrum. The device will need a sturdy platform or support so unless the customer has a tripod already they are advised to visit section 800 & select perhaps items 800 or 801. Included within the packing box is a 0.8M rod (see picture) for attachment to the tripod enabling the frame to swing vertically without the tripod interfering with the metal elements.
