The EMCO 3104P biconical antenna is excellently designed for simplicity and is a good alternative to dipole antennas where elements would have to be adjusted each time a new frequency is measured. It is extremely lightweight and easy to handle. It comes with portable elements which can be stowed easily when not in use. The antenna can take 50Watts i/p and so can be used for low level field generation. Manufactured to conform to MIL-STD-461 and other standards and illustrated in Drawing ES-F-201286, this antenna has had an extensive role on commercial test sites testing to EN55022.This antenna is often used for shielding effectiveness testing as the balun will not overload with higher than normal signal strengths as experienced in shielding work.
NOTE: The P after the model number denotes that a collapsible antenna cage has been fitted instead of the fixed cage. This is for ease of transportation. The portable elements are shown below.
