EMCO model 3108 is a medium powered biconical broadband antenna operating within a frequency range of 30-300MHz and in accordance with DoD and Military EMI Specifications. This antenna is really for usage in Radiated Immunity with an ability to handle 300Watts of i/p power but Radiated Emissions tests can also be performed. It is lightweight and portable. The 4 to 1 balun network is made of PTFE thermoplastic material with a modified line transformer for improved impedance matching. The item comes in a customised case which includes a flat extender mount 310 which provides separation from a tripod (Item 800) top allowing 90 degree rotation without hitting the legs. Extended elements (Item 342A) can be ordered with this antenna as an option to improve transmission transfer in the 26HHz -70MHz region of operation.
NOTE: The P after the model number denotes that a collapsible antenna cage has been fitted instead of the fixed cage. This is for ease of transportation.
