This adjustable dipole antenna system is almost identical to the optimally matched & compensated balun design engineered by W. K. Roberts of the FCC Laboratory. It is used to make precise EMI measurements to meet Military, DoD, VDE, ANSI C63.4 and EN Specifications. They come in a transportation case housing all the antenna components and included is a measuring tape to enable adjustment of the dipole elements. For operation at lowest frequencies the dipole elements are constructed from nickel plated brass elements and four extension rods. The set of elements can be screwed into the pertinent balun. The baluns can also tolerate 50 Watts enabling the model to be used in a transmission mode for example. The antenna factor graph shown concatenates the curves of all four baluns & their optimum extensions.
