Modified original ENI 603L model in an enlarged case with built-in re-chargeable Nicad battery supply for use when mains not available. See Item 509/509A for complimentary signal generator (also battery driven). From fully charged batteries the amplifier will run comfortably for two hours continuously. It can then be directly run from mains when the battery pack is exhausted. Like all Nicad cell systems it needs a good 12 hour recharge (typically overnight) with amplifier switched off. Front panel meter reads battery voltage (24VDC). Will auto cut-out when battery is low and cease charging when battery capacity is full. Lights are provided to indicate these conditions. This device is ideal when initially testing shielded enclosures in construction areas where mains is not yet available.
