High gain, low noise pre-amplifier for increasing the sensitivity of microwave spectrum analysers (effectively dropping the noise floor). Mains driven. Typically used with HP 8593EM (Item 114) or R&S ESIB-26 Receiver (item 120).
Note: This will suffice for work up to 18GHz. Should the Hirer intend using the device on up to 26GHz, they are advised to unscrew the converter jig and expose two precision SMA(m) ends which would be more suited. The item comes supplied with two extra 3.5mm SMA f-f adaptors in the case for customer convenience enabling a reversal of connector polarity. NOTE: when hiring this item look in section 700 for an appropriate length of microwave coax with the adaptors suited to your interface.
