High gain, low noise pre-amplifier for increasing the sensitivity of HF; VHF; UHF and microwave spectrum analysers (effectively dropping the noise floor). Typically used with HP 8591EM (Item 112) and R&S ESPI-3 (Item 5) Unit is powered by mains via a plug-in socket unit providing the 12V DC. Unit is compact in size and sees much use as a booster for the various analyser inputs descibed above.
