High gain, low noise pre-amplifier for increasing the sensitivity of microwave spectrum analysers & receivers (effectively dropping the noise floor). Typically used with R&S ESIB-26/40 (Item 116). Unit is normally powered by mains via a plug-in socket unit providing the DC. There is also a rechargeable 12v battery which will allow an all day operation isolated from the mains. The actual amp comes with a back-to-back “k”(m) adapter enabling direct connection to input of a receiver. For suitable coaxial cabling look at items 745-753.
