A very popular workhorse in solid state amplifiers from Amplifier Research. A self-contained unit with forced air cooling. It provides a front panel gain control with approx 10dB variation. Contol can either be from the front panel or at the rear through an RS232 or IEEE-488 bus. A switched mode power supply keeps the weight down. Another big “plus” for this series is the 0dB i/p requirement for full output with overdrive protection. VSWR protection, gain control and an RF o/p sampling port are the main features.
Modulation Capabilities: The amplifier will faithfully reproduce AM, FM or PULSE MOD appearing at the i/p.
