(for computer or manually controlled field uniformity calibration in an Anechoic chamber) .The PP-01 positioner is a remote controlled X-Y axis RF probe positioner for remote positioning applications. It was designed to perform part of the automatic field uniformity test called for in EN61000-4-3 over a 1.5m x 1.5m plane. The positioner is constructed out of fibreglass materials with some exceptions close to the base of the unit. Basically, the field measuring probe can be automatically positioned via the front panel of the SI-200 to any of the sixteen positions having set up the horizontal & vertical step sizes on the plane. The item comes complete with the SI-200 GPIB controller. When delivered by us a technician will install it & calibrate the start positions ready for use. The small servo motors are battery driven & charger units come with the item to recharge overnight. Either the end user has their own probe or may wish to hire one of our field probes from section 100. The End User may also wish to consider using one of our preloaded laptops with the Field Uniformity software program as part of the immunity program (Item 124). If this is the case, just check with our software driver listing that all other peripheral equipment used in the “loop” is driver listed in our software. One other check point; If your chamber has absorber cones on the ceiling, check that the 2.1 metre mast height can traverse across between the cones over the 1.5 metres width without striking them. The two fibreglass rails are 2.7M long & 0.75m wide. The max Probe height is somewhat less than the mast.
