This device has been engineered for supporting the EMCO model 3108 Biconical Antenna Balun. This allows it to be rotated progressively to the opposite polarization without having to unscrew it. The base interfaces with the usual 7/8UNF socket into which a number of converters can be fitted, seen here with item 865. Centre of balun hole to base: 7.5cm. Width: 12.5cm. Length: 7.6cm.
