From February 2008 EMC Hire Ltd have revised the marketing
of its in-house EMC software.

David and Delia Farrand created the EMC Hire software in 1992 and have maintained it since that date.
They have decided to leave the EMC Hire team. As independent contractors, David and Delia have
worked closely with John Wombwell and EMC Hire Ltd.
They have decided to leave, to work on other software projects.

EMC Hire Ltd will continue to market its EMC software, will provide training and technical support for
these products and will remain the prime contact point for software enquiry or customer assistance.
If necessary they may forward customers requirements onto David and Delia.

Easy to use Software

The Emission and Immunity software packages have been developed in-house by EMC Hire Ltd in the UK, to meet the growing need from the EMC Community Hire and Sales market.

The software packages have been designed so that they can be learned and used quickly (vital for the new or occasional hire user) and yet be flexible and powerful enough to be used on a day to day basis by Test Facilities and UKAS Accredited Laboratories.

The software operates under Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP environments allowing Compliance and Pre-Compliance Testing to be made. We also provide a comprehensive list of drivers available for all the most common used EMC Test equipment.

Common to both Emissions and Immunity software are standard 'Look and Feel' features. This provides an easy to use schematic layout diagram of the equipment selected and a simple menu system to follow the test data capture through to analysis and presentation.

Software Development

The software has been developed by our own EMC Hire software team, who have over 30 years programming experience and 25 years EMC experience.

The software was originally developed for very simple applications in the Hire department in 1992, but the Hire users asked to purchase the software for regular use.

Before embarking on writing for the commercial market, we travelled to many of the UK leading EMC facilities with the basic packages and asked them for their needs and wishes for a better software package.

The software has developed over the years from the direct input by both EMC Hire staff and EMC Test engineers in leading Test Facilities. We continue to encourage all users of our software to provide a close working relationship with the software team and we value and act on all feedback received.

The software is used by both Hire customers and full time customers. It is both simple in use (vital for the Hire Department) and yet powerful enough for those customers with dedicated test facilities.

All our software comes with the full current drivers specification. The Emissions and Immunity packages provide for both Radiated and Conducted testing.

Software Support

We pride ourselves on the high standard of Support that we provide to our customers. We ensure that we develop an effective and close working relationship between the customer and our EMC Software support staff.

Fast response to our customers' requirements, are a priority as this ensures that the software is up to-date with the latest test methods needed in EMC.
