EMF Meters / RADHAZ / Field Probes

EMF Safety

We are the UK’s leading hire company of EMF safety equipment, providing a range of national standard-compliant Extra Low Frequency (ELF) and High Frequency EMF meters and field probes for electric and magnetic measurement.

Companies involved in activities where electromagnetic radiation can be present are required by law to ensure that levels remain within national guidelines and regulations and that occupational safety recommendations are being implemented and is required by the EMF Directive 2013/35/EU.

Public concern about the health risks from exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) emitted from various wireless devices and their infrastructure continues to be an issue all over the world. There are recommended EMF exposure limits in place at a European Level. The European Commission 1999 Recommendation 1999/519/EC sets out strict limits for exposure of the public which apply to all frequencies in the range 0 Hz to 300 GHz.

Our range of ELF and EMF meters measure energy radiated from electromagnetic fields (EMF), for example mobile masts, power lines, electrical appliances, fans and blowers, electrical circuits and wiring and intentional transmitters.

Measuring ranges include selective frequency measuring devices and monitors for wide area coverage, as well as Personal Safety monitors that can be worn on the body and can measure RF levels in the workplace while performing their roles and therefore is a useful measure for implementing on Risk Assessments.

Our meters, probes and monitors are manufactured by Narda Safety Test Solutions, a leading supplier of EMF and ELF measuring equipment, amongst other testing equipment.

Our EMF and ELF Meters feature:

  • single axis sensors, which measure to within an accuracy rating of 5%, and can measure EMF and ELF radiation in milliGauss (mG) or microTesla ((μT) up to 2000mG (200μT).
  • Calibration to national standards for transparent measurements and readings, including non-directional (isotropic) measurement, and separate measurement of electric and magnetic readings in the near field
  • Robust construction including dust- and weather-proof casings to ensure accuracy and reliability in a range of testing conditions
  • Simple operation for maximum usability and accuracy
  • Minimum downtime for re-calibration due to in-lab rapid calibration
