What is the minimum hire period?
There is a minimum hire period of 2 days, subject to a minimum hire charge of £75.00 excluding carriage.
Is there a maximum hire period?
There is no maximum hire period, the longer the hire duration the lower the daily hire rate costs.
What if I have not finished testing and my hire is due to end?
Please contact us 24 hours before the hire is due to end and we may be able to extend the duration of the hire depending on the availability of the equipment.
Do you sell equipment?
No, EMC Hire is solely a rental company. Check out our ‘why to hire?’ page to get more information into the benefits of hiring equipment.
What are benefits of renting rather than buying testing equipment?
As well there being no capital investment (which also makes the rental tax deductible) there are many reasons why rental is a sensible option. See our Why Rent Your Equipment? page for more benefits.
Can you help determine the relevant test equipment required for certain test standards?
Yes, we are always happy to help just contact us to speak to one of engineers, they may ask you to complete one of our enquiry forms to outline the exact testing being undertaken. We have various information about different testing standards - see our Standards section in the navigation bar.
Can you help set up the equipment?
We can arrange for an engineer to deliver and instruct on set-up and use, engineers can remain on site to oversee the complete operation of the equipment if required. Should you require a virtual service via Telephone/Video call this can be provided. These services will incur additional costs.
Who is responsible for providing insurance for the equipment hired from you?
It is the responsibility of customers to arrange insurance for the equipment they hire from us. Please see our Terms and Conditions.
Is there a delivery fee?
Delivery fees vary due to the nature and value of some the equipment, please contact us to discuss delivery fees and we will be happy to assist.
Overseas clients will need to request a quotation as some exports require ATA carnets and additional packaging which incurs additional costs.
Do you deliver same day?
We provide a 24/7 service and aim to despatch goods same day. If you require goods the same day, we are able to use dedicated couriers or our own vehicles to get the goods to you, however this does incur extra charges.
Do you supply digital calibration certificates?
Once an order has been placed, we can supply all documentation for equipment via email, this can include handbooks, performance reports and calibration documents dependant on the hired equipment.
Is your equipment UKAS calibrated?
Our equipment is either UKAS or in-house calibrated to the manufactures specification. If you have any queries about the calibration on an item you wish to hire please let us know and we can tell you the calibration standard, and if required we can arrange for additional calibrations, however this may incur additonal costs.
How do I open a 30-day account with EMC Hire?
To open an account please contact us via email or telephone, we require your VAT Number and registered address, upon completion of a credit check we can then proceed with opening an account.
Do you hold ISO 9001 accreditation?

Do you provide full system packages?
Yes, we are currently performing maintenance on our website to reflect the full systems we offer. Contact us for further information about this service.
Do you provide EMC consultancy alongside hire of equipment?
Yes, EMC Hire is in partnership with WEMEC Ltd. WEMEC have a number of technical specialists who can assist with interpretation of standards, testing requirements, design guidance and EMC problem resolution. Check out our partnerships page for more information on WEMEC Ltd.
Can you assist with interpretation of test results?
Yes, in addition to consultancy WEMEC Ltd can provide reports into interpreting findings and further actions that may be required.
Do you have your own EMC test software?
EMC hire use several OEM test software applications including, Radimation DARE software, EMtest ISO control and Narda SRM-3006T. We can assist in the use remotely or onsite and offer training if required.
