Item 957 - Radiated Immunity System
Radiated Immunity testing involves transmitting RF energy at the equipment under test (EUT) using a tuned antenna. A field probe is used to measure the transmitted field.
Electric field radiated immunity must be performed in a shielded enclosure; therefore an EMC test facility should be used for compliance testing.
A Gigahertz Transverse ElectroMagnetic cell (GTEM) can be used for performing pre-compliance tests on small equipment to provide confidence of performance prior to full compliance trials.
Magnetic Field immunity can be performed outside of a test chamber
Equipment
Equipment shall be selected by EMC Hire engineers based on the customer needs, therefore please provide as much information as possible (e.g. applicable standard, test level, size of EUT etc) when enquiring.
The GTEM can be delivered to the user’s site or can be used at EMC Hire’s premises.
A laptop containing DARE RadiMation test software is included in the system, which will be preloaded with the appropriate test configurations including transducer factors. A software operating procedure is also included to guide you through using the software.
Calibration
A calibration should be performed to establish the signal power required to generate the field. The power is stored in the software for playback to the EUT.
If required, the radiated immunity calibration when using the GTEM can be performed by EMC Hire prior to the hire.
Test Support
EMC Hire can provide an Engineer to set up the system at your location if required, or can offer remote assistance via Teamviewer or Teams.
