Test Mode: | EMF Survey |
Test Type: | Electric |
Manufacturer: | EM Fields |
Frequency: | 200MHz-8GHz |
Designed to enable you to make a quick and informed judgement regarding the levels of radio frequency and microwave signals in your environment. Displays peak, peak hold, and average levels of electric fields. Covers the spectrum from TETRA all the way up to and beyond the 5.6GHz Wi-Fi and WiMAX frequencies. It also has a digital readout which is sensitive to 0.02V/m. Readings are shown on both an LCD display and two series of graduated LED lights. The LEDs update rapidly, allowing you to quickly gauge the levels in an area and find any hot-spots. The LCD display offers high accuracy with a lower update speed, giving you time to take note of the readings. It also has a speaker (and audio output socket for headphones or to feed to an audio recorder), allowing you to determine what type of device is creating the RF levels present.
Frequency response using the internal antenna:
200MHz–8GHz ±3dB ±0.01V/m
150-200MHz and 8-10GHz ±6dB
Measurement Range:
Peak: 0.02-6.00V/m updated @ 100ms
Average: 1-100mW/m2. 6400samples updated @ 250ms
Audio from demodulation may be heard from the internal speaker.
The LCD displays peak-hold, peak and average values.
Power:
2xAA NiMH rechargeable cells (1.2-1.5V).
Current 90-125mA at 3V
Battery Life: typically 15 to 20 hours.
‘Low battery’ detection is indicated.
