The BDA-25 broadband dipole antenna is another device used for measuring field strength. It has 3 fixed band tuned screw-on extension elements. Its 2.5cm diameter elements broaden the response performance, thus avoiding continuous adjustment to the elements (as with telescopic high Q dipoles). A balun transformer is included within its structure. The conversion factor from dBµV to dBµV/metre ranges from 0dB @ 30MHz to 17dB @ 200MHz (but this is only achieved with the full extension). Mounting is achieved by the balun arm sitting in an AMT-25 “cup” which has a 5/8UNC ‘f’ recess attaching to any number of our devices with a 5/8 UNC stud.
