The model EM-6888 is a radiating stub that is used to check antennas for radiated emission testing to method RE102 of Mil. Std-461. The device is uncalibrated and used to verify that any receiving antenna in use is in fact operating and sending signals to the receiver. It is also used to radiate signals at the highest frequency of the range covered by each antenna used in RE102. Its small size sees further use in the Shielding work when fed from an RF amplifier with the appropriate rated load attached in parallel. It can be placed within small cabinets & the leakage field tested on the outside.
