Insurance Summary
Hire Equipment Insurance – Summary of Cover
Our terms and conditions state that it is the responsibility of our clients to arrange insurance for the equipment they hire from us.
In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, it is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that all equipment is adequately insured for the duration of the hire period.
Hirer Responsibility
- Arrange and maintain insurance cover for the full replacement value of the equipment against loss, theft, or damage, with any proceeds assigned to or held in trust for EMC Hire; or
- Accept full liability for any loss or damage and cover the cost of repair or replacement.
All damage will be assessed by EMC Hire upon return of the equipment, and any applicable charges will be communicated accordingly.
Proof of valid insurance for the full value of the hired equipment may be required prior to or during the hire period.
Client Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure equipment is fully insured throughout the hire period.
Full Replacement Cover
Insurance must cover the full replacement value against loss, theft, or damage.
Liability Option
Hirers may alternatively accept full liability for repair or replacement costs.
Damage Assessment
All returned equipment is inspected and any damage charges will be communicated.
Proof of Insurance
Evidence of valid insurance may be required before or during the hire period.
