The EMCO 399054 Hand-Held Mast Controller is a direct-connect control unit designed for simple operation of mast motor systems. Supplied with a 3-metre lead for direct coupling to the mast motor assembly, it provides straightforward Up/Down control, with optional polarisation adjustment when an air-pump system is installed.

This controller is typically selected as an alternative to the GPIB-enabled 2090 Controller (Item 824), offering a convenient manual interface for field use. It may also be used alongside the electronic controller by setting the front-panel switch to 'Auto'. In combined setups, the hand-held unit is especially useful for verifying and calibrating mast and antenna height relative to the height readout on the 2090 controller. If the mast is supplied pre-calibrated for height, the EMCO 399054 is generally not required, but remains a valuable tool for on-site adjustments and system checks.
