Model 3101 is a circularly polarized conical log-spiral broadband antenna. The characteristics exhibit a low VSWR with a moderate gain. This design came from the MIL-STD and SAE arena but some of its advantages have been utilised commercially. As an example, it can be used to quickly scan the emission profile in one sweep as it is equally sensitive in both planes. Similarly with the immunity. On a similar theme, it can be mounted vertically wrt the ground and then used as an omni-directional horizontally polarised antenna for surveillance or survey. 3101’s will receive both circular and linear polarised waves (the linear is about 3dB down).
If a set of two are required order a double set.
